Born and raised in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Boris Rio was strongly influenced by the city of the percussive Samba Schools and the melodic Bossa Nova. Music has always been a big passion in his life as much as the need to share that emotion with others. Years of work as a DJ led him to music production as another way to express his musical taste.

Once transplanted to New York, Boris had the opportunity to expand his musical abilities and work with singers of the NY club scene, such as Randy Jones, Ari Gold and Flotilla DeBarge among others.

As a solo producer as well as part of the remixing team 2fabu, Boris has steadily released tracks ranging from soulful Deep House to big room Tribal House mixes.
